My name is MC and this is my Cloudy Project.
I’m self-employed and spend my days doing lots of web-based design, marketing and creative projects.
I’ve played music since I was six years old, and guitar since I was twelve. I’ve spent big chunks of my life making a living with music, and I’m also a little obsessed with photography, video, Flash and things having to do with rebuilding my 80-year old house.
I live in the Cloudy House, a big old Dallas duplex that is now a uno-plex. It is a constant work in progress. I do the work, and the progress is very slow.
I am married to the wonderful Mrs. Cloudy, who is a very fetching yoga teacher and a PhD anthropologist, my bestest friend and the nicest person I know. She sometimes lets me play the guitar as loud as I want.
I have many friends who are working musicians, and many more who are musicians who wished they worked at it a bit more. My goal over the next few years is to make lots of music with them, record it and share it here.
I also do some art every now and then.
Here are some weapons of cloudiness that I enjoy:
- Lots of Macs
- Fender Strats
- Old Japanese Electrics
- A sweet Gibson J45
- A Fender Bass
- A Peavey Classic 30 Amp (with a 1970’s JBL K series speaker)
- The mighty Electro-Voice EVM12L (I’ve got two of those, also from the 70’s - really my speaker of choice)
- ProTools
- Final Cut Pro
- Flash
- A Panasonic DX100B
- Nikon film and digital SLRs
- A Mamiya 6×7
- A Cambo 4×5
- ADK Microphones
- An air compressor with an assortment of nailers
- Foundation jacks
- A concrete mixer
I hope you enjoy the cloudiness around here; feel free to drop me a line or leave a comment wherever you see fit. Thanks for your interest -
